WHAT WE DO
"Growing up and observing the adults who molded me, my purpose became very clear: Service!" ~ Marion Brown
We provide a safe, nurturing, and accessible home for individuals with disabilities, especially those at risk of neglect, homelessness, or abandonment. In a country where housing options for people with special needs are limited, our organization fills a critical gap.
Our facility is designed to go beyond basic shelter. We foster a family-like atmosphere where residents receive daily care, emotional support, nutritious meals, and medical attention when needed. Every room is intentionally planned to promote dignity, mobility, and comfort, making our home a place where people are not only safe, but valued.
In alignment with Liberia’s growing focus on inclusive infrastructure, we are committed to expanding our capacity to house more individuals and to advocate for disability-friendly building practices across the country.
Our mission includes a strong voice for inclusion. We advocate for the rights, dignity, and full participation of persons with disabilities in every aspect of Liberian society.
We work to change perceptions by engaging communities, policymakers, educators, and healthcare providers helping them understand that disability is not inability. Through outreach campaigns, media partnerships, and community forums, we raise awareness and challenge the stigma that isolates many individuals from their communities.
We also collaborate with local leaders and government agencies to help shape policies that improve accessibility, promote equal opportunity, and ensure the fair treatment of all people with disabilities in Liberia.
We believe that everyone has potential and that with the right support, individuals with disabilities can lead independent, fulfilling lives.
Our empowerment programs focus on teaching practical life skills such as hygiene, mobility, communication, cooking, and self-care. We also provide mentorship and structured routines that help build self-confidence and personal responsibility.
Where possible, we support pathways to economic independence through vocational training and referrals to relevant programs. In doing so, we prepare our residents to contribute to society in meaningful ways and to define their own futures.
Education is at the heart of everything we do. We offer learning opportunities that meet our residents where they are; whether they are beginning with basic literacy or life skills needed to navigate an ever-changing world.
We are working to bridge the gap between traditional education systems and the needs of persons with disabilities, especially in a country where inclusive education is still emerging. Our long-term goal is to establish a full learning and development center dedicated to unlocking the potential of every learner we serve.
