Serving on the executive team of telecommunications company Orange Liberia, Ms. Sara Elizabeth Buchanan established their Corporate Social Responsibility affiliates of both Orange Foundation and Orange Digital Center in Liberia where she currently serves as Executive Director. A fully bi-lingual –French and English – Liberian woman, Ms. Buchanan has held senior leadership roles in the US, Europe and Africa. Ms. Buchanan previously worked as a licensed Stockbroker/ Financial Advisor and Partner in the Washington, D.C. and later in charge of Legal, Administration and Procurement of Total Energies in Monrovia, Liberia. Ms. Buchanan was the first ever Liberian national expatriate for Total Energies and served on the executive management team as a Strategy Business Analyst of Total Lubrifients in Paris, France. Ms. Buchanan has been a Board Member, including Board Chairperson, for Gbowee Peace Foundation Africa- the foundation of International Peace Laureate Madame Leymah Gbowee, since 2015. Ms. Buchanan, a champion of digital inclusion, is a humanitarian and activist for women and children in Africa. Ms. Buchanan is on the Board of the Antoinette Tubman Cheshire Home representing her sorority Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc. of which Madame Antoinette Tubman was a member.
